Megaloceros Giganteus, also known as Irish Elk or Giant Deer, was a species of deer that lived in Euroasia and North Africa between Pleistocene and Holocene. It went extinct about 9000 years ago, due to climate change and intensive hunt from humans. Its name means "Great Horn".
